Aquamarine Aussies is devoted to the Australian Shepherd breed and the joy of developing a bond with your dog.
Aquamarine Australian Shepherds was officially founded by Janette O’Shaughnessy and approved by AKC as a recognized Australian Shepherd breeder in 2023. I have loved dogs since I was a little girl, and I am so excited that I can focus so much time on my dogs at this point in my life.
I started Aquamarine Australian Shepherds to keep the line going of my beautiful blue merle bitch, GCH Thornapple You Swept Me Away, “Moana.” Moana has an extraordinary personality, and is my “once in a lifetime” girl.
I have worked with several Australian Shepherd breeders throughout the years, mostly Thornapple Australian Shepherds. Special thanks to them for the great dogs that are the very foundation of my lines, so to speak.
My goal is to produce sound and loving Australian Shepherds that bring joy to our lives, much like Moana has brought to mine. I look for sweet Aussies with great personalities when I do breed, so that if you get one from me they can become your best friend. I only plan to breed a small number of litters as this is a passionate hobby for me.
Australian Shepherds are my life, and I am currently focused on writing a series of children’s books about my Aussies called Aussie Dog Tails.
